owners of Woodstone Manor. You will no doubt meet us in person as we are an integral part of the team at the hotel. A welcoming environment inside and out has been created so guests can unwind and restore. We do like to think of the Woodstone as a" home-away-from-home". Our unique spot in the world is on a small island in the Salish Sea. Galiano Island boasts an eclectic culture, an abundance of fauna and flora, numerous beaches, and majestic views. As the island businesses depend on tourism to thrive, we, as members of this lovely community, find ways to Support Local. From the ingredients in our dishes to the smiles on our staff's faces, we endeavour to offer you a personal island experience.

Your intimate escape

The Woodstone accommodates 24 guests in its 12 uniquely furnished rooms. Our goal has always been to make each room as beautiful and relaxing as possible. Antiques, original artwork, and small, personal touches are seen in the rooms as well as throughout the hotel. Oh, and the beds are the most comfortable we could find! Wake up refreshed to a lavish complimentary continental breakfast that is a spread of all of the foods we love. We love hosting weddings, retreats and events that take over the entire hotel but also thoroughly enjoy the quieter times when we can chat with our guests visiting from all over the world. The Woodstone’s restaurant showcases fresh and creative West Coast cuisine and seasonal fare. Our formal dining room seats 43 diners and our patio accommodates 97 people.

Our Setting

Woodstone Manor is nestled on 9 forested acres with quiet walking trails and wildlife throughout. Our amazing outdoor patio overlooks a pastoral scene of old: uninterrupted acres of farmland extend before you. You’ll see horses grazing in the fields, deer passing by, and eagles drifting lazily overhead leading you to unwind, to reconnect, to just “be”. We are a leisurely 10-minute walk to shops and a 5-minute drive from Montague Harbour Marine Provincial Park with its shell beaches and lovely walking trail. You can organize a kayaking trip or rent e-bikes and scooters at the Montague Marina. If you prefer to stay put at the Woodstone, you can choose to play a game of bocce, horseshoes, or frisbee or just get comfy on a chaise lounge, read a good book and work on your tan! Getting Here

BC Ferries: From the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal on the mainland, we're only a short 50-minuteride away, and most often the first stop. Reservations are highly recommended. If you are coming from Vancouver Island, take the ferry at Swartz Bay. Get there early as reservations are not offered. Visit bcferries.com or call 1-888-223-3779 (1-888-BCFERRY).
If coming as a foot passenger, we are happy to provide transportation to/from Sturdies Bay ferry terminal.

By air: Seair Seaplanes travel daily between the Vancouver International Airport’s south terminal and Galiano's Montague Harbour.

By private boat: Montague Harbour Marina offers overnight moorage with power and WiFi. Moorage reservations are highly recommended. A large dinghy dock is available for boaters on anchor or mooring buoys.

The Woodstone offers free transportation to/from the Marina. Please use the Government Dock in the harbour when you’re coming to dine with us!
